Mission Statement

To merge the interests of the Navajo weaving industry with the needs of the alpaca fiber industry in the following ways:

To support the restoration of the pastoral lifestyle and traditional family values inherent in the Navajo culture.

To build a native textile industry that benefits these efforts and to provide work and sustenance to the people.

To introduce alpaca livestock raising as a viable source of income, food and fiber following the Peruvian model.

To insure the preservation of the art of Navajo and Hopi weaving for a generation yet to come.

To provide a mill for processing fiber and to create end products of high quality with an existing international reputation as collectible art pieces.

To create a place where children can learn the basics of animal husbandry along with weaving and other fiber crafts, introducing them to the elite fiber of the alpaca.

To provide people with an opportunity, in the form of tax deductible donations of cash, livestock, fiber, and their time, to encourage indigenous people and to develop mutually edifying relationships between cultures.

Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the LORD. Isaiah 102:18
